Twenty months ago, we launched our $1B Global AI Fund. The thesis was simple: AI would reshape infrastructure, and through investments, Cisco needed to be positioned where it mattered most.

In 2025, that thesis played out, faster than anyone predicted.

We made meaningful investments, celebrated major portfolio exits, including one of the largest tech IPOs of 2025, and deepened our role in the AI infrastructure buildouts reshaping the industry.

AI dominated every conversation across networking, security, observability, and collaboration. Our team helped set the pace, building visibility and partnerships across every domain.

Cisco's broader momentum made this possible. What we're seeing across AI infrastructure, from hyperscalers to sovereign neoclouds to enterprise, is shaping our investment strategy, and our investments are strengthening the ecosystem. It's a virtuous cycle, and accelerating.

That momentum showed up in defining moments.

Our 2024 $28B acquisition of Splunk continues to deliver. In September, Cisco announced the Cisco Data Fabric, a revolutionary new architecture that will empower organizations to harness the value of their machine data with AI. Our investment in World Labs points further ahead: their spatial intelligence platform will transform a wide variety of industries including robotics, design, entertainment and beyond.

Cisco Investments has always been about more than making investments. We lead with multi-year strategy and thought leadership. We drive acquisitions and partnerships. And this year, we used every capability at our disposal to position Cisco at the center of the AI era.

AI FUND

Through our $1 billion global AI investment fund, Cisco identifies the startups defining the next wave of enterprise technology, and brings their innovations into our secure ecosystem. The result: customers gain access to emerging AI capabilities faster, backed by the infrastructure and trust they already rely on.

PORTFOLIO
DEVELOPMENT

2025 deepened the Portfolio Development team's role as the connective tissue between our portfolio companies and Cisco.

“Over the past year, we turned strategic intent into real outcomes. We worked alongside founders and Cisco teams to move portfolio relationships past introductions and into production, where technologies get tested, integrated, and deployed at scale.

Cisco became an active design partner and customer for several portfolio companies, validating solutions in complex, real-world environments. This deepened our partnerships and opened clearer paths to revenue, integration, and adoption.

In 2026, we'll keep prioritizing execution and repeatable models that help Cisco and our portfolio companies scale with confidence.”
